Due to the heavy rainfall in Istanbul, floods raged in many places. In the city center, the underpasses were under water due to the sudden suppression of rain during 08.45, and the vehicles stuck in the water.
In the statement made from the official twitter account of the Governorship of Istanbul, “If it is not obligatory, it is requested that private cars not be taken out for the transportation that our city will suffer from heavy rainfall today.”
Disaster and Coordination Center was cautioned: “Istanbul today is stormy with thunderstorms. Be careful against flood risk and storm!”
