Convicted Şeyhmus Alpsoy, who had been prisoned for 18 years due to his Islamic identity, was taken to surgery in Ankara Numune Training and Research Hospital for treatment this morning.

Family of Şeyhmus Alpsoy stated that their father is having a very difficult surgery and asked pray for all Muslims.

While Alpsoy was taking the surgery, his handcuffed hands was drawing attention, also the guards weapon was in ready situation in the closed environment.

Following the US-backed coup attempt on July 15, Şeyhmus Alpsoy, who was transferred from Sincan Numbered 2 F Type Closed Prison to Tekirdağ Numbered 2 F Type Closed Prison, caught illness here but hadn’t taken to infirmary.

Following the worsening of the situation, the patient was taken to the Ankara Numune Training and Research Hospital with the initiative of Alpsoy's lawyers, and diagnosed with colon cancer. (M. Salih Keskin, M. Hüseyin Temel - ILKHA)
