The G20 Leaders' Summit in Hamburg continues with protests. While the demonstrators set fire to a large number of vehicles and businesses, it almost turned into battlefields.
The summit of the G-20, bringing together leaders of the world's 20 largest economies in Hamburg, has been delayed due to protesters who gave the impression that “welcome to hell”.
As the protesters continue to protest, the police are pressurizing and gassing the demonstrators. More than 110 police officers have been wounded while more than 50 demonstrators have been detained.
While the demonstrators set on fire a large number of vehicles and workplaces, the skyline of Hamburg smoldered. While there are frequent chases between demonstrators and police, some shops also looted.
According to reports from the German press, the police wanted support from police agencies in other provinces as it was insufficient to intervene in the actions. The army also said that it sent a special union to Hamburg as reinforcements.
