The villagers who were massacred by PKK in the village of Başbağlar of Erzincan's Kemaliye district, were commemorated with the program organized by the district governorship in the 24th year of the massacre. HUDA PAR President Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu also attended to the program.

Yapıcıoğlu, who came to the village of Başbağlar in convoy with his delegation, welcomed by village residents.

Speaking to the participants in the protocol talk section of the program, Yapıcıoğlu said that the Sivas file had to be re-examined and also the Başbağlar Massacre murderers should be brought to the judiciary.

Reminding that PKK murdered 10 villagers in the village of Susa, in Diyarbakır’s Silvan just one year before Başbağlar Massacre, Yapıcıoğlu remarked that Başbağlar Massacre and Sivas provocation are different scenes of the same scenario.

Yapıcıoğlu stated that with Başbağlar Massacre, set an odds were aiming among people, said, “24 years ago in a brutal action here 33 of our lives were taken, murdered. 28 of them were shoot, 5 of them burned alive. And they said that they took the revenge of Sivas with a note they left at the scene. In fact, provocation in Sivas 3 days before this event and subsequent action were different scenes of the same scenario.”

“A similar event a year before the Başbağlar Massacre happened in the Yolaç village of the Silvan district of Diyarbakır. 10 of our brothers were martyred during the night prayer by laid them in front of the mosque wall.
