The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reacted to the statement of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the read of Holy Quran and the adhan in Hagia Sophia.

In a statement, “The report on religious freedoms that are among the basic human rights of Greece is clear,” said in the statement, adding that, “To give only a few examples, that the Greek authorities had exposed the Muslim Turkish Minority in Greece to increasing pressure on religious freedom. It is possible to say that prayer requests for prayer in the Muslims' Ramadan Eid in Thessaloniki, where there is no open mosque for worship, and one of the historical mosque, also received a negative result this year. For this reason, the question mark is what Greece understands from the religious dialogue while they don’t even have an opened mosque in their capital city.
