The countdown for the Feast of Ramadan began when the Ramadan, one of the most important months for the Islamic world, was coming towards the end.

It is stated that the night of Eid where prayers are acceptable, the scholars recommend that the nights should be spent with prayer and worship, reading the Quran, and praying forgiveness from Allah.

Mehmet Şenlik, vice-chairman of Union of Scholar, voiced that it is the right of mankind after every difficulty to be happy, “The Eid of Ramadan is a joyful event that is happening after the difficulty of the Muslims. Because of the fasting during the month of Ramadan, Muslims stayed hungry and thirsty. We should prepare ourselves for a new stage after Ramadan. Ramadan is going to end but worshipping continues. It is essential to continue good traits after Ramadan.”

"The continuity of the servant is essential"

As the Ummah, the Eids passing bitter because of the persecutions said Şenlik and added, “As a matter of fact, in the Islamic world, blood is in everybody's right now. There is a calmness, unrest and depression. So no one who follows this situation cannot be happy in the eid. After Ramadan, we have to prepare ourselves for a new stage.”

“The meal is Sunnah, but the more is waste”

Şenlik, which recommends not to be avoided during the Edi, says, “During Eid, friends, relatives and guests are welcomed in a beautiful way, and catering to them is Sunnah, but going beyond boundaries and spend more is waste. There is many people on the earth challenging with hunger. It is better if we send them some money as almsgiving.  Let's reduce our wastes. Even in buying clothes, let's spend as much as we need.”
