The Hope Caravan Humanitarian Relief Foundation, located in Istanbul, continues to provide help for the month of Ramadan. Hope Caravan helped thousands of families in Diyarbakır and Mardin before the feast [Eid] of Ramadan.

Abdulkadir Yeşilmen, the President of Hope Caravan Foundation, stated that they came from Istanbul wanted to see the situation of the disadvantaged people in the region and stated that they are traveling to a whole region for this purpose.

Yeşilmen said that they wanted to get information about the studies there, “We as Hope Caravan Foundation came from Istanbul and wanted to visit the region. Our intention to see how our officials working here.”

Yeşilmen stated that they firstly came to Mardin’s Midyat, “After that, we went to Dargeçit then Nusaybin. We've seen the demolished situation of there. We saw 6 neighborhoods of 12 are completely destroyed. By this means, we have observed the victims of the citizens. We talked to them. There was a single room which a family was living in, kitchen, bedroom, living room were the same room. A woman sat with her little children. It was a terrible situation. Yes, we also have victims in Istanbul and in the west. But the victimhood in the region is a different victim. We were bleeding inside. Good thing that we came. After that, we went to Şırnak, we went to Cizre.”

Yeşilmen, who gave information about the studies in Diyarbakır, said, “Our friends in Diyarbakır have helped up to 2 thousand 500 families. Their target is higher.”
