“The Draft Law on the Approval of the Implementation Agreement on the Arrangement of the Turkish Armed Forces between the Turkiye and Qatar in the Qatar Territories and the Approval of the Protocol on the Agreement” and the "Draft Law on the Approval of the Cooperation Protocol between Turkiye and Qatar on the Gendarmerie Training and Education” were accepted by the Turkish Parliament.

“Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Turkiye and the Government of the State of Qatar on the Deployment of Turkish Forces in the Qatar Territories” signed on 28 April 2016 in Qatar's capital Doha was accepted today in the Parliament.

The two countries will work together on the protocol in the following areas:

- The visits to military unit, to headquarters and institutions,

- Mutual education (including language education) and teaching in the schools, training centers and associations of the Parties,

- Internal security training, combating trafficking and organized crime, intervention training in social affairs, trainings for military police officers and mobile training teams,

- On-the-job training to be provided at the unit, headquarters and institutions of both sides,

- Courses to be given mutually in the schools, training centers and associations of the Parties,

- Mutual assistance in the development of training equipment and training aids,

- Experiences and knowledge exchanges in joint issues and technological cooperation,

- Providing "consultancy services" for training and transfer of knowledge and experience in technical-logistic matters,

- To send personnel to the education and training institutions affiliated to the Chief of General Staff for education. (ILKHA)
