US's weapons to YPG discussed in Turkish National Security Council

Following the meeting of the National Security Council under the chairmanship of President Erdoğan, the statement emphasized that “The support policy applied to PKK/PYD-YPG terrorist organization under the Syrian Democratic Forces, which ignored Turkiye's anticipation, is not compatible with friendship and alliance.”

The regular meeting of the National Security Council [NSC] was held under the chairmanship of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Following the meeting held in the Presidential Complex, a written statement was made about the content.

It was stated in the statement that the measures taken at the National Security Council meeting in the framework of law against all kinds of threats against Turkiye's national security, especially the FETO/PDY, PKK/PYD-YPG and Daesh, and the striving continued domestically and internationally in order to end terrorism were discussed in a comprehensive manner.

“Despite all the warnings we made within the scope of the struggle against Daesh, it should be questioned that some terrorists actions in various countries. It is reported that establishing strategic cooperation with Turkiye, which has significant experience in the fight against terrorism, will benefit the whole world.”
