Ramadan Month Recommendations from 'Qur'an Generation Platform'

On the occasion of the month of Ramadan, Qur'an Generation Platform made recommendations about individual, family and collective worship.

In the statement made from the Qur'an Generation Platform, “Ramadan is the (month) in which was sent down the Quran, as a guide to mankind, also clear (Signs) for guidance and judgment (between right and wrong). So every one of you who is present (at his home) during that month should spend it in fasting,” ayah was remembered.

“The month of Ramadan is a blessed month, and Allah has set the month of Ramadan as fardh for you. When the month of Ramadan starts, the gates of the heaven are opened and the gates of Hell are closed and the devils are chained.”

Stressing the month of Ramadan as a beneficence from Allah to the servants, said, “The month of Ramadan is such a month that the gifts given to the worship of this month are much more than in the other months. So that the middle of this month is mercy, the middle is forgiveness, and the end is the salvation from Hell. However, it is our wish to take advantage of this month. And necessary to act from the beginning of Ramadan to the end with a program, so that you can enjoy this blessed month.”

It is stated in the statement that the entire community should fully utilize the Ramadan month, “There is no doubt that this blessed month has many things that can be done either individually or collectively, either as a family or as a platform with the belief that this intention and thought will be beneficial as a platform to remind our brothers and sisters with the name ‘Recommendations of Ramadan Months’. Our aim is that our members and volunteers in general, all of our society, will benefit from the blessed Ramadan month with these recommendations.”

Mehmet Emin Sütçü, one of the Coordinators of the Qur’an Generation Platform, and Kenan Çaplık shared the following suggestions in Turkish and Kurdish:

INDIVIDUAL PROGRAM

1-At least read a juz from Qur’an once a day.

2- Taking care of supererogatory prayers [salaah].

3- Concentrate on visits.

4- Pray [Dua] a lot.

5- Focus on reading.

6- Entering I?tik?f.

7- Care about charity [zakat].

8- Give iftaar meal.

FAMILY PROGRAM

1-Reading the Qur'an in the form of together.

2- Doing catechism lessons.

3-Doing Siyar lessons.

4- Praying together [salaah with jemaah].

5- Realizing the evening of al-Qadr.

COLLECTIVE PROGRAM

1-Give iftaar meal.

2- Make collective visits

3- Residents in the city should be in social solidarity with the residents of the villages.

4- Perform the night of al-Qadr together in the mosque.

5- Go to Eid prayer and wish merry Eid to others

Mehmet Emin Sütçü and Kenan Çaplık, two of the Coordinators of the Qur’an Generation Platform continued after the Ramadan recommendations they shared, “We are already congratulating the whole Islamic world on the Ramadan month and are pleased to see that this blessed month is to be instrumental in the resurrection, unification and emancipation of the ummah and the stop of the blood flowing in the Islamic geography.” (ILKHA)
