Local and foreign scientists who came to Bitlis to participate in the “Pomza and Perlite Workshop" were present at Nemrut Crater Lake. Scientists who said that Crater Lake is a wonderful natural, added that it should be gained to international tourism.

Scientists, who point out that they have been in many natural wonder regions in the world, have expressed that such a beautiful view is very rare.

Iranian Urmiye University Mining Engineer Ahmet Huseyin Pul, who admitted that he admired the nature in the Lake of Crater, said that he has visited many countries in the world but has not found such a beauty and said, “Bitlis should build a foundation upon it. If they work on it, there is no such nature in the world. Good work can be done about tourism here.”

Sakar University Faculty of Environmental Engineering Professor. Dr. Saim Ozdemir expressed his admiration for Nimrud Crater Lake said, "Indeed, Nemrut Crater Lake has appalled me. I haven’t seen the steep slopes in my life. It is very stunning and fascinating here. The coexistence of both hot and cold water sources and the formation of steam chimneys is very impressive. I was wondering how to get there before I came here I did not know the transportation was so easy, the transportation is very convenient. There is no reason to not come here.” (ILKHA)
