HUDA PAR President Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu attended the opening of the ‘Child Life Center’, established by IHH and Qatar humanitarian organization RAF, for Syrian orphan children in Hatay's Reyhanlı district.

Yapıcıoğlu, who was in the evaluations to ILKHA after the program, emphasized that such centers are important but that more importantly, is to prevent Syrian children to remain orphans.

Yapıcıoğlu said, “There is a village constructed here. 55 separate houses and 18 orphans can stay in each. We are here today for the opening of a facility that will serve for a total of 990 orphans. This place will serve for 990 orphans who has lost their mothers, their fathers or both parents in the war of Syria.

Yapıcıoğlu said that hundreds of thousands of children have been orphaned since the war began in Syria and said, “The number of orphans is hundreds of thousands. The facility opened here today will serve only for around a thousand orphan child. After all these bitter events have been experienced, is a very important event, of course, a very important service take care of these orphans. But more important than that, is to prevent these children to remain orphans in such a dirty and brutal war. Or at least in the coming phase, work for the stopping the flowing blood is much more important than opening such facilities.”

Yapıcıoğlu emphasized that everyone should put effort to stop the civil war in Syria and stressed that the political interests of any country, group and person are not more important than preventing Syrian children from becoming orphans.

“There is no more important policy than stopping the blood flowing in Syria”

Yapıcıoğlu continued: “I hope that cooperation and goodness will happen, and if the Ummah speaks frequently, we believe that we will be able to solve the problems within ourselves in a dialogue between us and with political methods so that when there is this on agenda. Stopping the blood will not be that far. We will not be able to reach anywhere if everyone, either by rejoicing in the place where they have captured, or finding their own justice in their own right, or making proofs of their rightfulness. It is necessary to stop this blood flowing before all else. If there is calm and blood stops flowing, I believe that there is no such thing that cannot be resolved. It is no bigger, not more important politics than stopping the blood flowing there.”

Concerning the attitude of Europe to the Syrians, Yapıcıoğlu said, “The attitude of Europe is obvious. Europe says, ‘those well-educated, young and strong, even those who are primarily our religionists or those who will accept our religion,,’ But in many places near Reyhanlı and such as Reyhanlı, the doors were opened. The open door policy was applied. The helping hand was extended as much as possible. Of course we do not see these aids as small. But I wish these brothers were not reduced in need of much more.” (İbrahim Koçyiğit - ILKHA)
