It was stated that the "WanaCrypt0r 2.0” cyber-attack on 99 countries including Turkiye, affect more than 75 thousand computers.

Valerie Maldonado, vice-president of the French Police Department for the Cyber Crime Office, said that 75,000 computers have been affected so far and said that this number will increase in the coming days.

It is believed that the cyber-attack using the name “WannaCry” has been carried out using software from the US National Security Agency [NSA]. During the attack, between 300 and 600 US dollars is required to re-access the computer.

It was stated that the cyber-attack that affected 99 countries was mostly affected on Russian banks, UK hospitals and European automobile factories.

A software company that stated that the cyber-attack was affected in a total of 99 countries, mainly in Russia, Ukraine and Taiwan, said that the most devastating effect of the attack so far has been realized in UK hospitals and policlinics. (ILKHA)
