It is believed that Beraa Night, the night connecting the 14th day of the Shaban to the 15th day, is one of the most precious days for Muslims have come to after the Al-Qadr Night.

The origin word "berâet" means of debt relief, quittance, and deliverance from punishment or responsibility.

In this night, also known as night of grace, the servants must be in complete surrender to Allah, leave earthly affairs to aside in order of being closer to Allah.

President of the Religious Affairs Department in Turkiye published the message about the subject. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Görmez stated that they are experiencing happiness, peace and gratification to perform the Beraa Night.

Görmez stated that Beraa Night, which is called as mercy, compliance, grace and appreciation, is the forgiveness, purification and emancipation night, said, “It is with no doubt that the deepest meaning of the Beraa is forgiveness and mercy. I would like to remind you once again with Beraa Night that the owner of the this night is our Almighty Allah. However, the Beraa of everyone is in their hands. Because we will reap in the otherworld what we have planted here. We attain true happiness when we light our heart with the nur of faith. Let us not forget that ‘If we take a step closer to Allah, Allah will be a thousand steps closer to us. When we get away with a repentance from our faults and sins, the forgiveness of Allah encompasses us. Our Almighty Allah will forgive us when we throw away the feelings of hatred, grudge, jealousy, and hostility.”

“If we can wish beauty for other what we want for us, Allah will bestow all the beauties on us,” said Görmez and used these expressions:

"Allah will helps us if we are able to aid the suffering of the oppressed and the victims. In our prayers, we should not pray only for ourselves but pray for our partner, children, family, parents, our relatives, neighbors, all brothers and all humanity.”

On this occasion, I congratulate Beraa Night for all of the Islamic world,” said Görmez and added, “On the occasion of Beraa Night, we should eliminate all obstacles are in front of our Beraa [emancipation] and I wish from Almighty Allah for tears flow in different geographies of the world, especially in Syria and Iraq to stop and reach to Ramadan as pleased with peace and security.” (ILKHA)
