President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech at the International Forum on Al-Quds Foundations held at the Golden Horn Congress Center.

"Jerusalem is the hometown of the Ummah, the city of the prophets, the privacy and the honor of the Muslims," said President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the opening of the "International Al-Quds Foundations Forum" held at the Golden Horn Congress Center.

President Erdoğan stressed that Al-Quds [Jerusalem] is a holy city for all three divine religions and is the essence and summary of all human history.

Erdoğan added: "Time in Al-Quds not how we know, it flows in its channel. A-Quds is love, is longing; the sight of mankind. Jerusalem is the closest place to earth from the sky. Because Jerusalem is the second stop of Isra, is the first step of Miraj. Jerusalem, the city of the Prophets, is the privacy dignity and honor of all Muslims. The messages of our Prophet [PBUH] about Jerusalem are so clear. For this, Muslims are humiliating while the Jerusalem was occupied every day and that under the captivity of dirty feet of the crusaders. Saladin hadn’t sleep until the Jerusalem was liberated again. Saladin, the second conqueror of Jerusalem, often lived in a tent even in time he was not with his army."

"We attach great importance to the struggle for rights and justice of our Palestinian brothers"

President Erdoğan underlined that it is the duty of every Muslim who shows Al-Quds to have the right of reverence and sensitivity. He said that the Jerusalem case is not just the case of the Palestinians. “'Supremacy law' is working in the Palestinian issue for many years”

As Muslims, Jerusalem, Masjid al-Aqsa must be visited frequently, Erdoğan said, "Among the Muslim countries most visitors from Turkiye has gone.” Visitors from Turkiye remained at around 26000 said Erdoğan and asked why hundreds of thousand Muslims are not visiting Jerusalem? “We have to accept that this picture does not suit us. The strongest support we will give to our brothers there will be our presence in Jerusalem. Without a just solution to the Palestinian issue, peace and stability cannot be achieved in our region. First of all, international law and decisions must be respected. No one, no country, is not on the law, it cannot be. But ‘supremacy law’ is working for years in the Palestinians issue. Israel, with the courage it has received from various powers, insists on stubbornness that it does not recognize the law. Despite all the decisions against it, it continues to occupy, persecute, violence, and 'un-Islamize' Jerusalem. What is the difference between the current practices of the Israel and the racist and discriminatory policies that were applied by the former US politician to African Americans? What legal status does suit for the Jewish settlements, which encircle the West Bank like a poison ivy, turn the lives of our Palestinian brothers into jail? Could there be any explanation in conscience, justice, and humanity for the restrictions on Gaza? Of course not... So, where does the Israeli power come from? Because they know that the crimes they have committed in front of the eyes of the whole world, and that these massacres will be unrequited." (ILKHA)
