A religious generation cannot be raised by taking children to podium

Reminding of the words of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan “We will raise a religious generation,” Muslim Göral Director of the Diyanet-Sen Gaziantep Branch said, “The religious generation is educating young children in early ages and given a good morality. I do not think that a religious generation can be raised like that taking children to the podium.”

“It is not acceptable to do such a thing at the state university”

“It is not something to accept to see young children get on podium with other obscenely dressed manikins,” said Göral, who stated that it is not right for small girls to perform at a show together with obscene-dressed young girls. It is not acceptable to do such a thing, especially at a state university. Our society and the people of Gaziantep are a religious community”.

Göral also touched to the alcoholic festival that planned to be held in Gaziantep, called the authorities to prevent such programs, said, “Such programs in Gaziantep is not true. The drink festival is not an acceptable situation. We are certainly against such a thing. Alcohol is forbidden according to Islam. We already know the government's policy of drinking and smoking. It is not nice to have a festival about them in such a way as to encourage narcotics, drinks and other substances. It is not acceptable to choose a place like Gaziantep. We do not approve of them. I think the authorities should take precautions about them.”

“Our children are our future”

Mustafa Kaya, the president of Gaziantep Association for Guidance, Research and Education [Rehber-Der], said that they condemn in an educational center like university that little girl children being abused in such programs.

Stating that the situation of the little girls is upsetting them, Kaya said, “Unfortunately, this incident has made us very deeply upset. We are building programs to educate a faithful future as an educational association. After the President of our Republic, he has been saying ‘a religious generation’, he is working especially on youth. But unfortunately, we are deeply disturbed by the fact that small children are being abused in this fashion show organized by institutions that a school like a university should represent in education and that these designs are displayed on the bodies of these children. Our children are our future.” (İbrahim Koçyiğit - ILKHA)
