The verdict of the case against the murderers of Yasin Börü, Hüseyin Dakak, Riyad Güneş and Hasan Gökgöz, who were murdered by PKK/HDP during the attacks of October6-7, 2014, is seen yesterday. 24 people were sentenced in the result.

Evaluating the case result, HUDA PAR Deputy Chairman Mehmet Hüseyin Yılmaz stated that the result of the case is deficient and that the actual justice will be on the judgment day.

HUDA PAR Deputy Chairman Yılmaz expressed that police officers who were indifferent to the attack with the instigators should also be tried. He said that police officers who were stood idle by and instigators who involved in massacres were protected by judicial armor.

Yılmaz said that the search for justice lasted 3 and a half years, “You have continued your search for justice until this hour. This justice vigil lasted for about three and a half years, and eventually we could say that justice came in part. This is a deficient and minus justice, the actual justice will be on the judgment day, and there will be no escape from anyone. It is regrettable that justice in this world has not come to the full, but it is comforting that it will eventually come down in the divine.”

“We have the hope of days when instigators will be included to the case”

Yılmaz added that there are those who are insensitive in the search for justice and said, “‘Would you remain so indifferent if Yasin Börü and his friends, who have been murdered brutally were your children?’ we were addressed to intelligentsia, intellectuals, human rights organizations and different parts of Turkiye. We questioned why remain silent in this quest for justice. Unfortunately, the insensitivity of the insensitive ones continued, but our faithful brothers supported this quest for justice. Again, one of the most incomplete sides of this case is the failure to prosecute those who watched this brutal massacre, who stood idle in the security forces and didn’t respond to call for help, served for the organization or plan of chaos. They must be found and sooner or later be brought in front of the judiciary and get the punishment they deserve. Again, gangs calling their own supporters on the streets and kill Muslims should be included in the trial as defendants in those who committed this murder. These instigators are able to walk in streets now. At least they seem to have torn from this blame for today. Justice did not touch them, judicial armor protected them. They were guarded by some. We have the hope of the days when instigators will be included to the case.”

Yılmaz thanked those who embraced the case for the durations of the trial, continued as follows:

“In this case, you have not left us alone in this trial process. You have waited here for hours and days, even in the most adverse weather conditions. May Allah be pleased with you. Be sure that your decision to pursue this case and your quest for justice has been effective to the result. If this case had been left unattended, if no one had come to follow the case around here, if the press members had not followed this case, this case would have vanished in the dark corridors of the system, like many of the cases we had seen before. Maybe this case file would be closed with a penalty to a couple of people. In this regard, you have an important role.” (M. Hüseyin Temel / Mustafa Bikeç – ILKHA)
