Diyarbakır Governor's Office made a written statement about the attack on the Maintenance and Repair Branch Directorate, said that a ton of bombs used in the attack and 5 suspects are considered to be directly related to the incident were taken into custody.

In the written statement made by the Governorship, 4 police officer was injured are being treated in various hospitals while 3 police officers lost their lives.

Details of the attack included in the statement said, “Investigation made Relevant to the issue, that they were excavated from the basement floor of the apartment building adjoining to the area where the Police Department Additional Units were located and about 30 meters in length were tunneled to the repair workshop connected to the Maintenance and Repair Branch Directorate. It has been determined that an explosive is installed which is estimated to be about one tone prepared with RDX, Ammonium Nitrate, TNT and diesel, and that the explosion is carried out with the time-regulating mechanism.”

In the explanations, it was noted that 5 suspected persons who were directly related to the incident were taken into custody. (ILKHA)
