China calls for political solution in Syria
Related to the US's attack on Syria, China has urged the parties to keep the difficult political peace process, saying that the most urgent task for the sides at this time is to prevent the situation in Syria from getting worse.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Hua Chunying made explanation related to the US’s attack on Syria’s airfield.
Hua Chunying, “We condemn the chemical weapons attack in Syria. We support an independent and comprehensive investigation relevant organizations of the United Nations into whether the Syria has used chemical weapons. We want to have a result that can be passed from the historical exams and in accordance with the facts. We follow closely the development related to the US’s operation. The most urgent task for now is to prevent the situation in Syria from getting worse and to protect this difficult political solution process.”
On the question of a journalist whether the US side of Syria's operation carrying a warning to the North Korea, Chunying said, “China's attitude toward the Korean peninsula nuclear issue has not changed. We think it is appropriate for the interests of all parties to solve the problem through dialogue and peaceful means. China will continue to strive for the elimination of the Korean Peninsula from nuclear weapons and for the preservation of peace and stability in the region.” (ILKHA)
