Number of Syrian refugees reached 5 million: UN
UN High Commissioner for Refugees announced that the number of Syrians who have fled from their country until the present day of the Syrian civil war has exceeded 5 million.
According to the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, the number of Syrian refugees in Turkiye, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq and Egypt has reached 5 million due to civil war outbreaks 6 years ago in Syria.
According to the UN High Commissioner for Refugees and the authorized institutions of Turkiye, the number of Syrian refugees remained at 4.8 million in 2016.
