A conference on "Middle East Geography Shaped by Thinking Organizations" was organized by Bingöl University Virtuous Youth Club.

The program that was held in the conference hall of the university started with the recitation of the Qur'an.

Researcher-Writer Abdulkadir Turan, who participated in the conference as a speaker, said that the unity of the Islamic ummah always frightened the West.

Turan, stated that the concept of "Middle East" was geographical and has gained political significance, says “It has been made synonymous with the Islamic world here. So we do not use the Middle East, we call it Islamic world. We will not think with their concepts. Concepts are the reflections of our thoughts. We will think and speak with our own concepts.”

“They started to direct our minds”

Turan expressed that think tanks in Europe doing political engineering and continued: “Think tanks, consultants to the governing bodies and those who aspire to rule. They pave the way for them. In Eastern Europe, think tanks were mainly engaged in political engineering, it is true. They consultants to political and military persons and wake up their minds. The think tanks started to socialize in their own rights in Europe and America in a period of time. And it came to such a point that the think tanks now surpassed the political engineering of the West. They now have the political and social engineering they started to us Muslims. They started to direct our minds.”

Turan emphasized that the functionless of the western countries is a very important development and that “The plans are changing. Do not worry, they are important developments. They were masters in the past. They were making a man among us an enemy of Islam. Now they do not find anyone to make the enemy of Islam among us and they started to do. It is European that interfere to veiling directly. It is a very big development. It is a very important development that their own projects become dysfunctional. They have made others to serve their own ideas. Now they have to serve their own ideas because they have no men to serve their ideas.”

"The orientalists colonized the Islamic world"

Referring to the fact that the first think-tanks in the history are the orientalists, Turan said: “The function of the think-tanks cannot be understood without going to orientalists. Palestinian writer Edward Said, ‘an Israeli general's use of tanks, cannon and guns is like an orientalist using his private pen. They both work for the colonial.’ In the past, the first think-tanks were the orientalists. What did the orientalists do? The first-generation orientalists exploited the Islamic world.”

“Unfortunately, when the First World War came to an end, the British confiscated the material value of the Islamic world, that is, their oil and their moral values," said Turan and added as, “They confiscated two of the most sacred Harameyn and Jerusalem in Hejaz. After the First World War, the orientalists replaced by the think tanks. The function of the think tanks after this war was to consolidate the place of Israel. Israel is calamity, fatality that is put among us.”

“The Crusaders get their strength from the disunity of Muslims”

At the end of his conversation, Turan draws attention to the value of knowledge, "Master of knowledge is the master of mankind. After the commandment of ‘Read’, it is like this. The unity of the Islamic ummah always frightened the West. Some sources have always said: The power of Christianity is the disunity of Muslims.
