Assoc. Dr. Hilmi Erdoğan Yayla, instructor of Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences in Hasan Kalyoncu University, made evaluation about diplomatic crisis with the Netherlands, stated that behind the scenes of developments are the fear of EU and EU countries to lose their colonies and the upsurge of Islam in Europe.

Yayla, made evaluations to ILKHA about the scandal attitude of the Netherlands to Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and to family minister Fatman Betül Sayan Kaya and the violence that the Dutch police applied to the citizens of Turkiye, said that the EU countries that do not want to lose their own colonies.

Noting that the foreign minister's plane was not allowed to land and that the deportation of the Minister of Family who was going from Germany to the Netherlands were not diplomatic or humanistic, Yayla said, “It is necessary to read the background of the treatment well. It is not only prevent the speeches of our minister to our Turkiye’s citizens in Europe. It is necessary to read well that the EU and the EU-affiliated countries, which we need to take into account, are also fearful of losing their colonies.”

“EU countries are in fear of losing their own colonies”

Yayla pointed out that the EU countries were afraid of losing their colonies against the global policies that Turkiye revealed with the spirit of July 15. “Process after the 15th of July the era that people protected their state, resources and society and standing up in front of the tanks against imperialism policy not only resounded in Turkiye but in the whole world. We are also following the policies of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in the Middle East, Asia and Turkiye, particularly in Africa. As a result, EU countries are in fear of losing their own colonies against Turkiye’s global policies that revealed with the spirit of 15th of July. This has finally manifested itself in the treatment of the Netherlands against our ministers.”

Yayla underlined that July 15 is a milestone in this sense, and said, “It is normal for the EU countries to be in this fear. Because Turkiye’s lastly global policies carried out on humanitarian, economic, social and cultural are in fact seems spoiled the game of a bit of the EU countries and the UK. July 14 is very important here. Because it is a milestone. What happened in July 15 can make it possible that there will be an awakening in the nations that live under the protectorate of organizations such as FETO, including Turkiye. Here, this is what scaring the EU, can provoke towards the relationship of Turkiye with our citizens those live in the EU and with our compatriots in Africa, Asia and the Middle East with inhuman treatment.”

“EU countries do not want to lose space within themselves”

Evaluating the extreme right-wing rise in Europe, Yayla said:

"It is possible to understand the rise of extreme right-wing by a retrospective reading. If we look at the Second World War period where the words of extreme right-wings were raised, we will see it was provided to establish a Jewish state in the Middle East. Will the rising of extreme right-wing rhetoric in the US, Europe and EU countries be instrumental of what formation of any state, or in the creation of a new society or new sociology? The EU and the US are in fear of losing their colonies, are in effort of creating new colonial countries with excessive rhetoric. Probably this will be in Africa or in the Middle East. Because humanitarian aid projects of Turkiye after July 15 have brought a process that must be the awakening of the colonized states and nations and consequently hindered by the EU countries. The EU countries in the sense of extremist right-discourses, they do not want to lose space among themselves. They do not want to lose population and power.”

Yayla said, "Ultimately, the rise of Islam in Europe is also mentioned. But when you look at the places beyond the ocean, the necessity of establishing new nationalizations in their own colonies arises from the colonists' perspective because now nothing is like the old. The slogan of ‘The World is bigger than five’ generated a sound and influence in nations under colonies.”

“EU is provoking Islamophobia rhetoric and its own societies against Muslims”

Evaluating the widespread acts of violence against Islam and Muslims under the name of "Islamophobia", Yayla finally said:

"When you look at European countries, the number of mosques increases every day. Even the number of mosques is going to exceed the number of churches. In this sense EU states that do not want to lose their place as young population, economy and power, are provoking Islamophobia rhetoric and their own societies against Muslims. We have seen this in refugee’s crisis. Refugees were crisis for Europe but never became a crisis for Turkiye. The refugees' march from Syria to the EU was transformed into a crises. Because millions of Muslims were mentioning to migrate. So Islamophobia discourses and EU countries tried to stop Muslims from entering their countries.” (İbrahim Koçyiğit - ILKHA)
