"My mother passed away with the will of her son. Allah may bring us together in the heaven. When talking about her son, she always did not want to say his. She was longing for my brother. While my brother was in prison, there were visit once a month. But after this immigration, she got ill due to longing of her son. We were saying sometimes, mention your son’s name, then she would reply: my heart is burning, there is longing of him that I couldn’t get enough of him.”

"My mum became a shadow to us"

Gümüş, indicating that they lost their father when they were younger and that their mother made them both paternity and motherhood, said, "Her only request from us was to be on the line of Islam. She raise us with prayer. Sacrificed from herself. My mother became a shadow to me and to 2 years older brother.”

"We've been running at prison doors for years with our old mothers"

Gümüş stated that his brother always thought for people's quietness that strived for young people not to enter the marsh and he said, "He has always struggled for this cause. He told the Qur'an, the Prophet Muhammad. My mother was always siding my brother. My mother was overly abandoned by wrongful accusations and punishments. We had an elderly mother for many years running around the prison gates. Which gave her enough hardships and desperation. After the prison departure a new longing started and we had no conversation at all. We did not know where he was or where he was. My mother was prayed to Allah to help my brother.” (ILKHA)
