"People are being exploited by the National Lottery"

Mehmet Şenlik Vice President of Scholars and Madrasahs Unity and people of Diyarbakır, who are in the explanations of the gambling played under the name of "National Lottery", point out that people are exploited materially and spiritually with such deprave practices, required from authorities to end such applications.

The national is indigenous and it is a confirmation that all the people own, assimilate and support. Is this national? Where is the nationality, what kind of thing is the national? A few looters have come together in the National Lottery Administration, they are trying to accustom people to gambling by taking the support of the state.

"The National Lottery is destroying families"

Şenlik emphasized that the National Lottery had destroyed families, killing human sentiments and suggested that the people should avoid such works that Allah has forbidden.

Reminding that the National Lottery has been implemented since the founding of the Republic, Şenlik continued:

"The regime is secular in a country whose people are Muslim. Kemalist regime has legitimated those kind of works in order to make Muslim people away from religion. The National Lottery Administration has become chronic and the people have somehow adopted. The preachers often say, 'This is shouldn’t be in our country.' But these are staying in the mosques, not reflecting to the streets.

People from Diyarbakır also reacted to the application of the National Lottery, saying that there is no goodness from money that hasn’t earn with great effort.

Murat Çınar, who made his living by selling rosaries in the city, stated that many of families were destroyed due to such gambling games and said that "Gambling itself is forbidden by our religion and many families have been destroyed. It is not a pleasant thing to operate the gambling by the state.

Recep Örs and Aziz Efe have also suggested that the citizens of the province should make money from the halal ways by stating that they have never played the National Lottery. (ILKHA)
