1 billion Yahoo users account information was stolen

One of America's leading technology companies, Yahoo announced that in 2013, account information for 1 billion users was "hacked" by "state-sponsored” hackers.

In a statement made by Yahoo, it was stated that the information that was stolen includes customers' confidential information, e-mail addresses, telephone numbers, birth dates and account verification records. It was alleged that the financial information of the users was not harmed.

It is believed that incident of cyber-attack in 2013 was carried out by "state-sponsored" computer hackers.

In addition, Yahoo announced last September that 500 million users’ account information was being stolen in 2014.
