The "10 Questions to Understand 15 July Coup Attempt and Fetullah Terrorist Organization" prepared by the Presidential Corporate Communications Presidency in English and Turkish explains the real face of FETO and the developments experienced in the coup attempt.

The 42-page book titled "10 Questions to Understand 15 July Coup Attempt and Fetullah Terrorist Organization" was prepared by the Presidency. In the book, information on the developments experienced in the July 15 coup attempt and the real face of FETO were given.

In the book prepared in Turkish and English, examples from current communication tools were also presented in order to better understand what is going on for abroad collocutors. In the book, which exemplifies the US-made 'The Following' series, which is watched with interest in the world, by those who want to understand the structuring of FETO, following expressions were made in the book "The drama is about a psychopathic English professor, who mobilizes his cultlike followers to help him with his deathly objectives and achieve his ultimate goals".

In the book; there are some examples of activities related to crime of FETO, which is defined as an armed cult organization formed by fanatic people who meet with the directives of Fetullah Gulen, who is the prime suspect in 55 different cases. "Gulen is believed to be Messiah by his followers and his orders are obeyed to the letters."

It was stated that more than 10 thousand soldiers and civilians linked to FETO played a role in the coup attempt, in the book which reported that FETO used 35 military planes, 74 tanks, 246 armored vehicles, 3 military ships, 3 thousand 992 weapons and 37 military helicopters.

The book also included the July 15 night, the Presidential Complex bombed of by F-16 three times, the TBMM [Grand National Assembly of Turkey] 11 times, Department of police office of  Ankara 6 times by F-16, TURKSAT [Satellite Institution of Turkiye] 4 times by F-16 and two cobra helicopters.

Two of the reasons for the ineffectiveness of the coup were emphasized in the book: “One of these was the fact that FETO members within the military began the coup two hours earlier than planned because they suspected that the National Intelligence Organization and Chief of General Staff had become aware that something was happening. The second factor was the Turkish people who took to the streets upon President Erdoğan’s call.”

In the book; According to independent survey results, 54 percent of those who went to the streets against the coup were high school and university graduates; 52 percent of the squares are men, 48 percent are women. (ILKHA)
