At the ceremony held in the garden of the university complex; Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım, Minister of National Education İsmet Yılmaz, Minister of Health Recep Akdağ, Ankara Metropolitan Mayor Melih Gökçek, President of Council of Higher Education [YÖK] Yekta Saraç, management and faculty members of the university were present.

President Erdogan made a speech in the ceremony where intensive participation of the students of the university and the citizens from the surrounding districts realized.

"Muslims tried to be convicted to great powers"

President Erdogan stressed that, it is said for years in this country that Arabs in Ottoman geography has betrayed; in the same way, they taught Arabs that the Ottoman had been exploiting them for years. President Erdogan added to his words, "Sons of families who became citizens of two different countries in one night by artificial borders, became opposite to each other, almost enemy to each other because of the different histories they studied in schools they went. Instead of real events, they became adversary to each other with entirely contradictories. Affinity relationship between Turkiye's eastern and southern were tried to be cut off, and a fear wall tried to be build. All Muslims were condemned to great powers and tried to be compelled."

"Non-Muslim organizations are being haunted to Muslims"

President Erdogan underlined that the seeds which sowed during the First World War and clinched after the Second World War with the policy of pitting brother against brother is constantly renewed. He gave the following evaluations:

"Non-Islamic organizations such as ISIL, Boko Haram and al-Shabaab are haunted to Muslims. Likewise, the back of killers who abuse ethnic and sectarian differences such as DHKP-C, PKK, YPG are being rubbing. Despite all their differences, people who stand at Arafat every year, turn in the same qibla and believe in the same Allah and the Prophet, are provoked against each other by the Shia-Sunni. Dear young people, we do not have a claim to Sunnis, Shias, we only have a religion which is Islam, which is our love. We were gathered under the Islamic roof. Interpretations are not necessarily indispensable for us, it is Islam only essential for us, this is what they want to disintegrate, they want to divide it, and we will not give them this premium. Those who want to convict Muslims into a pessimistic table, you have to know that those are inciting a new interregnum [Ottoman interregnum] period, I hope they will not be given the opportunity."
