Under the guidance of Mustazafs Society Diyarbakır Branch, many Islamic Civil Society Organizations operating in Diyarbakir reacted to the massacres in Syria's Aleppo city after the Friday prayers.

After the Friday prayers performed in the Grand Mosque of Diyarbakır, the mosque community first made a funeral prayer with representatives of non-governmental organizations, then made a brief press statement and prayed for Aleppo.

The Friday khutba given by Mehmet Sait Yaz, imam of Grand Mosque, which drew attention on the massacres of Islamic geography and made a call on unity [Wahdat]. After the prayer, people in the mosque made a funeral prayer for the oppressed who were massacred in Aleppo. After the funeral prayer performed by Sait Yaz Imam, a short press release was organized and prayed in the mosque for Aleppo.

The slogans were laid out in the press statement: "Those living in Aleppo are war criminals", "There is massacre in Aleppo" currencies opened, "Long live hell for the oppressors", "The murderer Russia get out of Syria", and "The murderer USA get out of Syria".

HUDA PAR Diyarbakır Provincial Chairman Şeyhmus Tanrıkulu and party provincial administration also participated in press conference. After the funeral prayer, Mehmet Şenlik, one of the well-known scholars of the region, made a statement.

Şenlik said that those who were slaughtered in Aleppo remained in the streets and they were not even burial. Following expressions he said in his statement:

"Let's show our anger against oppressors in our prayers. Let us always say it in our hearts for their damnation, for them suffering from the wrath of Allah. We are all angry, our heart is burning. There the Muslims' corpses are out there, we made the funeral prayer here, but the bodies are not buried. There are corpses on the streets and under the wreckage, so it is an exemplary sign that the Ummah must come together, to unite its own strength. If the Ummah was Ummah then corpses would not stay in such streets. If their powers were one, their voices were one, there would not be so miserable, babies, old people would not be killed, patients would not be bombed in hospitals. But the hospitals are being torn down, the bread ovens are being demolished, the streets are not passed through the body odor. Everyone are preoccupied with own troubles, unable to look for a solution. Ownerless nation is waiting for help from the Ummah."

Şenlik expressed that they are with the believers against the oppressors, and continued: "We will always pray for them. We can continue to read kunut [a kind of pray] after the prayers. This is also a beautiful sunnah of our Prophet [PBUH], and let us make actual prayers. Let Allah make us to be with the believers against the oppressors, and to be on the path of the believers."

After the statement of Şenlik, the congregation prayed collectively for the oppressed in the Islamic geography. (ILKHA)
