Confusion in the US after Trump elected as president

Following the presidential election that Donald Trump elected as the new president of the United States, people who are on the streets are protesting with the slogan "Not my president".

In America, protests spreads in many of cities include; New York, Chicago and Austin, as well as cities like Berkeley, Seattle, Phoenix, Los Angeles, Richmond, Oakland, Pennsylvania State, Eugene, Portland, Pittsburgh and Oregon.

Donald Trump, the presidential candidate for the Republican Party, elected president on November 8th, said he wanted to be president of all Americans in his first speech after the election result.

Thousands of Americans who were not happy with Trump's presidency reacted to Trump's anti-immigrant and anti-Muslim rhetoric, protesting with the slogan "Not My President" in various cities.

Not my president

İn New York, protesters organized a walk from Union Square to Trump Building, protested the election result in front of the building, shouting slogans "not my president" because of Trump's xenophobia, racism and misogynistic rhetoric. After the protest, concrete barriers were set around the building.

"I put a wall around Trump, I pay for it"

While the majority of the demonstrators were youth and women, black people were at the forefront of protest against Trump. It was seen in the banners held by the protesters that there were expressions such as "No support for racism", "Immigrants strengthening America", "I built a wall around Trump, I pay for it, "Dumb the Trump". In some places the demonstrators set Trump's portrait on fire.

Trump opponents, also organized in social media, respond to the election with the tag #notmypresident.

In Oakland, California, there were rivalry between opposing groups, while in Seattle, reported that gunshots fired during the protests, and many were reported to have been injured. In addition, in some areas demonstrators closed the roads with car tires that they had set fire.
