After bomb-laden minibus exploded in Diyarbakır Bağlar district in a density civilian region, damage detection studies has begun.

Yesterday in Bağlar district, 3 police officers, totally 9 people have lost their lives in bomb-laden minibus exploded around 08.00 o’clock and more than 300 people are wounded. With the effect of explosion, nearby houses, flats, shops have damaged massively which caused of some citizens to leave their houses and move to the houses of their relatives.

After the following inspection, it was determined that a tone explosive was used in the attack. The works of AFAD [Disaster and Emergency Management] CSI [crime scene investigation] teams continues in the area.

Citizens who returned back to see their damaged houses and cars, shocked again against what they have seen and reacted to the attack.

Gülbahar Bali, whose house was damaged, said what she experienced during the event. Bali said that she was caught to the blast while she was sleeping and added, “My house is in the top floor of building. Thanks to Allah we have no loss. I was at home during the event. My children and I were sleeping. We could have die during the blast if we were awaken. Suddenly parts of glass and shrapnel started flying while we were asleep. The goods jumped out of their place and passed over us.”

Bali continued her words, “I woke up with such a loud noise that I was so afraid. I ran into my children's room immediately. I call them, they do not wake up. I say ‘Kendal!’, ‘Bawer!’ My children said, 'Mom, do not be afraid!' They woke up too. Allah do not leave our right to them. We woke up with our children as homeless. I worked for a long time with a single salary. We only live with the abdomen. Our car was also shattered either our house.”

The DEDAŞ [Diyarbakır Electricity Distribution Corporation] teams who came to the scene replaced the unused electrical cables with new ones, while the municipal workers repaired roads and pavements.

While the officials from the public finance carried out the damage assessment work of the destroyed houses, the insurance companies came to the scene to determine the damage of the damaged work places and cars.
