Şırnakian people remarked that they are out of provisions and financial possibilities and asked for the moral and material necessity support to be done before the difficult winter.

Ahmet Uysal reminded about the curfew has been continuing for almost 8 months and added, “Whatever happened is happened so far, but it shouldn’t happen from now on. There is a hard winter comes and winter in Şırnak pass very difficult. We don’t have any provisions left, nor any coal to burn or a house.”

Authorities need to relief this victimization right away

Uysal calls to authorities and said, “As we people of Şırnak, we request firstly from President Erdogan and PM Yıldırım and all authorities; relief the victimization of this people right away. Especially those building contractor need to be in rush. We are not against roads, they can make roads but building complex projects are not suitable for Şırnak. It not proper for culture of Şırnakian. Instead of doing this, they can pay to those whose house is demolished and those people can build their houses again. Our request from authorities to lift this ban and relief victimizations as soon as possible.”

Mahmut Çan, another Şırnakian whose house is demolished reacted to the Governor and said, “If the Governor lives here then Şırnak will be constructed. We want from the President to take Governor from this province and rebuild Şırnak again.”

People of Şırnak need to be protected

Kemal Kılınç also recorded that they want tranquility and added, “As Şırnak we want tranquility. We are longing for tranquility, we don’t want those events happen anymore. We don’t even want yezidis. All of people are victimized, we are scattered. We have winter in front, people of Şırnak need to be protected right away.”

Şirnak need to be constructed suitable to its nature

Abdullah Uğur stated that everyone has seen people of Şırnak how they have suffering and added, “People are scattered. Winter has come and we don’t know what to do. The Government has announced building complex to be replaced for those demolished houses. This build complex is not suitable for us. Şırnak need to be constructed according to its nature. Şırnak is closed for these 8 months, our life has passed in disgrace. We wish the Government’s officials will not victimize us. Şırnak need to be protected, no burn or ruin anymore. They shouldn’t destroy safe houses. We need to come together and unite for those kind of events not happening again.”

40 percent of population in Şırnak remain homeless

Zekeriya Tatar stated he has been in Şırnak since the curfew declared on March 14 and the following expressions he used:

“With the start of curfew, our top water has been cut off for the first 84 days. In this 8 month, the State only helped us with 2 packets dry food. As if the State turned its back to us. 40 percent of population in Şırnak remain homeless, houses are destroyed. There are many problems, we want those problems to be resolved as soon as possible. We want the President and Prime Minister himself come here and see the condition of Şırnak. Maybe the President himself is unaware of this but our Governor brought the following of atrocity that PKK and HDP did to us. After 8 months passed, still police come and say there is curfew, don’t get to the streets. We want the problems of Şırnak to be resolved right away.” (ILKHA)
