We had a meeting in Nusaybin, district of Mardin, with the mother of Said Ozbey who is jailed 22 years ago by police officers and judgments of FETO because of his Islamic identity. Mother Ozbey said that her son is a victim of FETO, remarked that she is expecting justice and a new retrial.

Kadriye Ozbey reminded that her son Said Ozbey is arrested 22 years ago in the fourth day of Eid-Al-Adha, “They took my son in the feast’s day, they turned our feast into mourning. My Said was studying. He was a brilliant young. He was a decent one, respecting to his elders. It was a feast day like now. Suddenly our door has been knocked tempestuously. We had seen police officers when we opened the door, we had taken aback. Police officers by showing my son ‘is this your son’? Asked me. I said yes, then they took my son.” she said.

I couldn’t recognize my son because of torture they did to my son

Kadriye Ozbey remarked that her son had been staying one month long under custody and experienced heavy tortures, said that she couldn’t recognize her son because of the tortures they did to her son. Mother Ozbey, “FETO’s men took my son under surveillance. They tortured him one month long. He was subjected to very severe tortures. One month later they showed me my son but I couldn’t recognize him. His head was bigger, all his body was turned black. His teeth were pulled out. My son had no crime. They were FETO’s men who did this to my son. Every time they said ‘we will release him’ but they didn’t release him.” she said.

We are not giving them blessing who did this to us

“My son has no crime, he is in prison innocently. They have no right to make us experience this. We are not giving them blessing. They were tortured my son. My son said to me ‘They put a pen in my hand and forced me to sign a paper while my eyes were tied. They made me sign it too and I don’t know who they were’. He was forced to sign a paper while his eyes were tied. I’m not giving them blessing. My son is in prison only because he is religious.”

My life was spent in prisons come and go, that's enough

Ozbey remarked that her son is innocent and no one has a complaint against him so far, continued her words, “Prosecutors, officers and judges who are men of FETO are punished my son. My son was telling me ‘Mom they are FETO’s men punished us’. Instead of releasing him, judges and prosecutors punished him. It has been 22 years that my son is in prison. We request for our children to be released. Now he is in Sirnak’s prison, my age has been increased, I hadn’t seen my son for 7-8 months. May Allah will not leave our right go with them.” (ILKHA)
