Children of prisoners’ families under the name of “Victim Families Initiative of 28 February and FETO” remarked that their lives  also have been stolen like the freedom of their fathers has been usurped and jailed for years as a result of this victimization.

Seher Irmak, daughter of Nurettin Irmak who is in jail for 15 years because of the plots of FETO, said that she has been convicted to fatherless for many years as a result of injustice and lawless applications applied his father.

Seher Irmak said that she was 9 month old when her father was arrested, “I haven’t seen my father at home at all. He is in prison for 15 years. I was 9 months old when my father was arrested. I know my father from the talk of my relatives and my mother told me about him. Just because I hadn’t seen my father, I was calling my brother ‘father’. I don’t want any more to spend another feast without my father. I want to kiss my father’s hand like every child. There are other children in the same position like me. Those who conspired to our fathers, convicted us to fatherless.” she said.

I had to look after to my siblings, mother and father who is in jail when I was 12

Semseddin Irmak, oldest son of Nurettin Irmak, remarked that he was 12 years old when his father arrested, “I had to look after my younger 4 sibs, my mother and my father who is in jail. I grew up my sibs. My little sister was looking at me like I’m her father because she hasn’t seen our father. This was a tough situation. I was very success in the school, that’s why I moved up to the class ladder. I was even more successful in the class I moved up, but I couldn’t continue to my education because of the situation of my father.” expressions he used.

“We have suffered a lot. FETO not only robbed my father’s life, but robbed our lives too. They stole our education, our future. We only request justice, not amnesty.” he said.

Memories with my Father are only memories in prison

Sena Onen, daughter of Abdullah Onen who is in prison for around 20 years, indicated that she was only 4 month old when they took her father to prison.

Onen remarked that there is no single memory with her father at outside, “I was around 4 months old when my father was arrested. And it has been 19 years old that my father is in jail. The only memories with my father are memories in prison. Memories in prison are consisting of with a few talk or a cuddle” she said.

The only our request is a justice trial and relief of our victimizations

Onen pointed that she has spent around 40 feasts without her father, continued her speech: “The only thing we want that relief of our victimization. Our request is not amnesty; we only want a justice trial and relief of our victimization. I replaced my uncle with my father in the eid and I kiss his hands first. I want to come together with my father as soon as possible.”

I didn’t know the meaning of father till I was 6-7 years old

Muhammed Huseyin Ayyildiz, son of Veysi Ayyildiz who is in jail about 16 years old said that he was 6 months old when his father was arrested.

Ayyildiz said that he grew up without seeing his father, “My mother grew me up. I saw my uncles as my father. The only guilt of my father was living Islam and make others to live Islam. My father is in jail for 16 years. Our only request is to relief victimizations of ours and theirs. We want justice trial. I didn’t know the meaning of father till I was 6-7 years old. I have spent 30 eid without my father.” he said. (ILKHA)
