The curfew in Sirnak has entered to 177th day where operations have ended. Some families with went to their houses the allowance of Governorship and shocked when they noticed some of their wares are stolen. Claimed that their wares have been stolen by the demolition team, asked from authorities to relief their victimization and plough on the issue.  

Houses and shops are plundering in Sirnak, authorities are watching

M.B. a resident of Dicle quarter pointed that plundering events have raised within the demolish work in Sirnak, “A few days ago the Governorship has given allowance to some families to remove their homes in 15-20 days. Many families didn’t find their staffs in their places when they got home. Also my TV and washing machine are stolen. I have heard and seen that many people are in the same position like me. How the Government allow this situation? Even we ask to authorities, ‘there is nothing we can do’ they said. ”

It has been 177 days this people suffer

A.H. said that it has been 177 days that some families are struggling for life in tents and indicated that this is a shame of the state.

A.H., “WE are in the September month, Winter is coming but still there is a uncertainty. Authorities are incapable for an explanation. We are waiting here disorderedly. It has been 177 days that this people suffer.” Said and asked for the relief of victimization.

Does the rental assistance to families not being done?

Ö.P. reminded on the some statements of state officials about rental assistance, said that they got only 500 Turkish liras from the state in the 5 months, stated that he is struggling for life with 10 members of his family in 400 Turkish liras rented house.

There is no one hear our voice any more

Ö.P. said that retired and insured people are not benefiting from financial aid, “It is seen that charities in Cizre are treating arbitrary. During the curfew of Cizre and Silopi, the social assistance foundation in Sirnak has aided financial people in those cities without looking at insured or not insured, but we can’t see this application for Sirnak. I had a house and it is destroyed. I have a 10 member family and retirement salary which lowers than minimum wage. My salary is only enough for water and rent.” (ILKHA)
