After PKK`s ditch policy in which PKK brought the war into the streets, ten thousands of people had to leave their homes. As PKK caused the death or injury of hundreds of people with its bomb attacks, but the most biting of the situation is out crying of mothers after their children`s death

Even during the reconciliation process as PKK stopped its armed actions against law enforcement forces, ceaselessly intimidating Kurdish people; dozens of children have been slain brutally in PKK`s attacks since 23 July.

13 years old Fırat killed in PKK`s bomb attack while going to buy bread

The first name died in PKK attacks comes to the mind is 13 years old Fırat Simpil who died in a remote controlled explosion in Silvan district of Diyarbakır province on 30th August.

On the day of attack, little Firat was going to bakery to buy bread. But, PKK, which planted bomb in the street, detonated the bomb while he was passing. Another civilian was also wounded in the attack. While Berkin Elvan who lost his life during Gezi protests, was spoken about in media for months, Fırat Simpil killed by PKK was tried to be forgotten in a short time. Politicians in the parliament also stood still by in the face of crying parents of Fırat Simpil.

A child died and another child wounded due to the explosives placed in their house

In the incident took place in Mardin`s Kızıltepe district on 13 September 2015, 9 years old Tahsin Uray lost his life. Improvised explosives were put on the roof of a house by PKK as a readiness for further attacks. But these explosives blew up when children poked the bags. While 9 years old Tahsin Uray lost his life, another child got wounded in the blast.

Elif Şimşek was just 9 years old

During a rocket attack by PKK on 27th September 2015 in Dumlupınar neighborhood in Diyarbakır`s Bismil town, 9 years old Elif Şimşek lost her life and 5 others were wounded. Since one of the deceased was a relative of one of the HDP member, PKK tried to create a perception by adopting the funeral perfunctorily.

During a street shooting of PKK, 12 years old Helin slaughtered

During the curfew in Sur district of Diyarbakır, Helin Şen who became the target of PKK bullets while assaulting law-enforcement officers with long barrel weapons and improvised bombs, lost her life despite all medical efforts in the hospital. Yet, pro PKK media outlets blamed police officers for her death and tried to exonerate PKK. Now, death of Helin has just become a matter of statistics in the records and made forgotten in a short time.

3 months old baby killed with long barrel weapons

Shifting the warfare from mountains to streets of Cizre and committing many massacres, PKK killed 3 months old Miray and her grandfather in sur neighborhood. During the attack Miray`s mother Rukiye İnce was also heavily wounded.

By bringing the war into the cities and killing many civilians directly or indirectly, PKK again tried to cover this murder by using its partisan media and so called politicians by blaming again state forces. Nevertheless they couldn`t cover up that little Miray and her grandfather were killed by PKK.

Babies killed in Çınar

In a car bomb attack carried out in Diyarbakır`s Çınar district, house of Açıkgöz family collapsed while they were asleep. 5 people lost their lives and 43 others were wounded. 5 months old Mevlüde Çiftçi and one year old toddler Ecrin Açıkgöz and 5 years old Sadık Açıkgöz were within the commorientes. The other two people were the children`s father Mehmet Şenol Çiftçi and Lokman Açıkgöz.

A 4 year old kid died and 6 months old baby wounded in a PKK attack in Silopi

Depriving people from their houses by digging ditches in Silopi district, PKK caused many deaths by detonating many bombs in the streets. In May, 2016, as a result of bomb explosion placed under manhole cover, near an astro pitch; 4 civilian including a 4 years old boy lost their lives and 23 others were wounded. A 6 months old baby was among the wounded.

PKK`s mortar shelling killed 2 children

On 9 July 2016, in Hakkari`s Çukurca town, PKK`s mortar shells targeting 2nd Border Brigade Headquarters hit a car while passing. In the attack 12 years old Doğan and 5 years old Viyan Kanat lost their lives.

A family wiped off in a bomb attack

Another bomb attack carried out by PKK and resulted with the death of children took place in Sur district of Diyarbakır on 10 August. The car bomb attack was conducted near historic Ongözlü Bridge killed 5 members of a family. 8 years old oğuz Kaan and 3 years old Ceylinaz Yıldırım were the little victims of the attack.

The other car bomb attack which was carried out in Kızıltepe district on 10 August wounded dozens of people, Aslı Aydemir (13) a 8th grade student one of the wounded lost her life in the hospital. Her father Rıfat Aydemir also lost his life in the hospital a few days later. Father and her daughter were buried side by side.

7 years old Hüseyin Utku was one of the 7 victims of a car bomb attack took place on Diyarbakır-Mardin highway on 15 August. But this boy was not considered and wasn`t brought to public agenda.
