No any news from hundreds of hostages taken by PKK

There is no any news received from hostages who took by PKK by intercepting the 20 kilometers on Bitlis-Diyarbakir road in Buzlupinar location.

PKK has intercepted the road and filled 150 meters long tunnel with vehicles, tried to crumple by burning vehicles.

It is reported that PKK has seized identity carts and car keys from hostages. It is learned that gun pointed hostages got off from their cars and transferred to service areas in the region, PKK keep threatening hostages with death.

Families are worry about their members’ life while their mobiles are unreached.

Operation launched

A large scale operation launched with air-assisted, a large number of units reinforced in many positions of Buzlupinar, to the incident area.

A police officer wounded

The private car of Mehmet Dagli raked by PKK members when he noticed that the road is intercepted and tried to drive back while he was travelling from Gaziantep to Van with his wife and 7 years old child to his work place. With the opened fire, police officer has wounded from his shoulders and transferred to Bitlis State Hospital for treatment. It is learned that his wife and child are well.

Upon the hearing of event, Bitlis Governor Ahmet Cinar has visited the wounded police officer in the hospital and wished a quick heal.

Attack on vehicle carrying teachers

In the other respect, while travelling with a private car, a group of teachers tried to drive back when noticed that PKK has intercepted the 20 kilometers of Baykan-Bitlis road. PKK members have realized the situation and opened fire on the car with long-barreled guns, a teacher wounded from his arm. After the treatment, the teacher discharged from Baykan State Hospital.
