Bedia Bozkurt, who wounded as a result of PKK militants fired around by long barrelled weapons after the operation taken places in the Sur district of Diyarbakir and Cizre district of Sirnak, lost her right eye.

Indicating that PKK caused the life of citizens to be miserable, Bedia Bozkurt: “I was at home and I have heard noise from the streets. I have looked from the balcony and I have seen PKK militants, with long barrelled weapons in their hands, wearing long coats and their faces were covered. They were swearing at the people on the streets because they didn’t support them during the conflict with police, PKK militants were saying: ‘Come and support us, why are you not helping us?’ After that they fired on air. My son was at the top of the house, I went there in order to protect him. At the same time the conflict outside grown bigger and I look at outside. When I looked at outside the PKK militants outside shoot at me and I got wounded from my face.”

“I lost my right eye because the doctors didn’t take care of me”

Indicating that she was taken to medical faculty of the University of Dicle, Bozkurt claiming that doctors didn’t take care of her, says: “I was taken to hospital and the doctors didn’t take care of me. I was just on the stretcher in the hospital. I had to be operated in an emergency way but I was operated very late. After the operation I have lost my eye. Now one of my eyes is blind. When I was in the hospital some of pro-PKK’s came and asked my relatives to say that it was police who shoot at my eye. But I didn’t accept what they asked me to say and I said that PKK militants shoot at my eyes. I told them: ‘I lost my eye but not my memory, not the state but PKK did this’. Just because I said this the doctors didn’t take care of me and I have lost my right eye. They asked me to say that the state did this but just because I didn’t say this I lost my eye. That is why they caused my eye to remain blind.”

 “My son got married and we had a happy life but they didn’t let us to be happy”

Indicating that she finds it difficult to do many things she needs, Bozkurt says: “It is really difficult to continue your life this way. My right eye doesn’t see anything at all. I cannot see my right side when I walk on the Street. The other day I went to local market and I crushed to the Wall because I cannot see my right side. Because of this situation of mine my psychology has gone bad. Before this conflict my life was very good, my son got married and everything was perfect but they didn’t let us to be happy. Now I suffer when I look at my family.”

“PKK militants would do anything because they don’t fear of Allah”

Underlining that PKK militants don’t do anything else than make people to suffer, Bozkurt says: “A human being wouldn’t live amongst Pro-PKKs, especially a woman would never live with them. They don’t have conscience and mercy. I have a daughter with psychological problems. They say very bad words to my daughter. I have heard that PKK militants use patient girls as suicide bombers. I don’t bring my daughter to home from the hospital because they would do something to my daughter. PKKs would do anything because they don’t fear of Allah.”

“PKK is walking around on the earth but they smell of blood”

Indicating that PKK militants said: ‘It is not important we shooter someone religious’ Bozkurt says:

“People with headscarf from my family come to my house. When my family leave my house after the visit they spit at them because they are wearing headscarf. How come one can spit at people because they are wearing headscarf? How can you spit at someone with headscarf? Why don’t they go and spit at their wives, sisters and mothers, instead? Women with headscarf are not living with lies; they are very clean people that do the prayers. How come one can spit at this kind of clean people? You think you are alive but you are not. PKKs are walking around on the earth but they smell blood. You are living and walking on the earth but you will be punished after the death.”

“I complain about them to Allah”

Indicating that she wants those who have done this to them to be punished, Bozkurt says: After the prayers I beg to Allah to punish them. Despite we even haven’t crushed an insect, the PKKs are crushing us, Oh Allah I refer them to you, take my revenge from them. Oh Allah take everyone’s revenge from them.” (ILKHA)
