Holding a press conference, Diyarbakır Islamic NGOs have drawn attention to Syrian regime and Russian war planes committing big massacres in Aleppo and remarked that hundreds of thousands are being besieged and a new tragedy is at hand.

Reading out the press release on behalf of the NGOs, Süleyman Nazlıcan said that the Syrian issue has fallen off the public agenda after coup attempt in Turkey and indicated that firstly Islamic countries’ leaders and whole world subsided into silence shamelessly.

Indicating that eastern and western blocs of imperialism are going on their massacres in Syria, Nazlıcan said: “eastern and western blocs of imperialism which coded itself to create sedition, turmoil and civil war in Islamic geography, keep going on shedding innocent muslim blood in Syria. For nearly 6 years, hundreds of thousands of women, men, elder, youth and children have been being slaughtered. The last pictures come from Syria burn ‘conscience’ which now locked in a very remote spot of humanity.” Nazlıcan went on saying “Aleppo siege is going on for months, on one side Russia and on the other side brutal Assad regime continue their massacres. While Aleppo is being kept under blockade and slammed by bombs, on the other hand Muslim people cope with hunger. A war crime is being committed in Aleppo by in addition to Assad’s barrel bombs, Russians’ cluster munition. Nearly 300.000 people living in eastern part of Aleppo is experiencing a disaster after Castillo road, the only exit of eastern Aleppo, was captured. Imposing this barbarism on people, Russia proposes to open a so called humane corridor. “

“A new tragedy is nigh in Syria”

Remarking that it is a must for Muslim countries’ leaders to say stop to this massacre in Syria, Nazlıcan said: “thousands of families destroyed with bombs. A new tragedy is nigh due to not being able to reach human relief to the city. We do not expect mercy from westerns’ conscience; after all they are the ones who sow sedition in our soils as they have always been feature players of imperialism. But, Muslim countries’ leaders must say ‘stop’ to this massacre in Syria. They have to raise their voice and they have to extend their helping hands to their brothers in Syria. (ILKHA)
