Umut-Der which becomes famous with the aid the have done, helped 250 family from Sirnak who left their home because of conflicts and settled into Kumcati town.

The head of Umut-Der Halil Girgin made a statement about the issue that Umut-Der helps continuously to the victims of conflicts from Sirnak and other regions since the conflicts begun. The aids are reached the victims who left their home and in Batman families from Sirnak, Cizre and Nusaybin are getting aids from Umut-Der, said Gergin.

We sent 250 aid packages to people from Sirnak who settled into Kumcati because of conflicts, said Gergin and “due to conflicts in our region people from Cizre, Nusaybin, Silopi and Sirnak became refugee in their country. We are helping them as before our union Umut Kervani helped these victims many times. Their situation is similar to Syrian refuges. They left everything behind and migrated other places, therefore they should be helped.”

“We also might become like these Brothers and Sisters”

Gergin remind that people who have become victims of this conflicts need the hands of humanitarian aid and added that: “This is the duty of us as humans and Muslims. Now we are sending our packages to these victims and all together we must not leave them alone. We also might become like these brothers and sisters. Families with children and women are in a very bad situation. We are reaching Ramadan month and summer of high temperatures. They need foods and clothes. Our charitable people should be sensitive about the victims of this conflict. In Ramadan our aids should be continued and in this holy month we should aim to reach more people who need our help.” (ILKHA)
