In Basel-Landschaft canton of Switzerland, due to Muslim student`s behaviour of not handshake with their teachers, the canton`s education department released a scandal regulation. 

It was released after 2 Syrian students of Therwil Secondary School reject to handshake with their teachers.

2 Syrian brother clarified that Islam does not allow physical contact with unrelated women, therefore they did not handshake with their teachers. And then school management released special allowance for these 2 brothers about not handshaking.

However, Education Department of Basel-Landschaft canton cancelled this special allowance. Common good in Equality of man and woman, and the adaptation of foreign is more important than freedom of religion, were shown as the reason behind this act. In this decision, it was stated that “handshaking therefore can be requested by a teacher”. If students reject to handshake they can be punished with 4500 Euro fine.

Besides that Therwil secondary school welcomed the violation of human rights and freedom of religion.

The citizenship application of Syrian family was suspended

The incident which caused debate in Swiss community, brought some consequences for Syrian family as well. The imam father of 2 students migrated to Switzerland in 2011. Swiss officers sent him an official letter that his citizenship application was suspended.

This last incident showed that in European countries, hostility against Islam and Muslims reached very serious levels.

In Germany, putting mosques under control of government was requested

As it can be remembered that in last weeks in Germany Parliament a bill was introduced about putting mosques under control of government.  So called ‘land of freedom Europa` where every unethical relationship, social deviances and gay marriages were accepted, living with the way they believe for Muslims is put under pressure by laws and it shows how Europa bends the law of ‘human rights`.

In addition to that it was seen in media that Syrian refuges, who migrated Europa because of civil war and imperialist invasion in their country, was under pressure of being Christianised in Germany. (ILKHA)
