We spoke to mothers of children that were brutally murdered on 6-7 October 2014 due to “Mother’s day”. Indicating that the pain in their hearts is still fresh, mothers indicated that they do not believe in sincerity of those who say “Do not make mothers to cry”.

Ms Zarife, mother of Huseyin Dakak who was murdered by proPKK /HDPs  while he was deploying meat to poor families with his friends on Sacrifice eid which was celebrated on 6-7 October 2014, indicated that her son loved her so much.

"When I got sick, Huseyin would also get sick"

Ms. Zarife, says: “Huseyin would respect me and love me not just on the “mother’s day” but every day. He had very beautiful morality. He would ask me how I was and would say hello every day. When I got sick he would also get sick because he of sadness. The words are not enough to explain the beautiful morality of him. He never made me upset. He was a genuine son.”

"They made our hearts to suffer but so they say ‘mothers shouldn’t made cried’"

Indicating that she is proud with the martyrdom of her son Ms. Zarife, says: Those who say that ‘mothers shouldn’t be made to cry’ are not sincere. Especially Selahattin Demirtas (HDP co-chairman) uses this word frequently. I do not believe that he is sincere while saying this word. They made our heart to suffer by manipulating this word. I have never suffered from a similar pain before. The reason that I can stand strong is because my son is martyr. I won’t be weak so the persecutors won’t be happy. Because if I become weak, the persecutors will be happy. I hope Allah (SWT) will accept the martyrdom of my son and other martyrs.”

Ms. Hayat, whose son was martyred by proPKKs in an barbarian attack towards religious students in the camp organized by youth and sport ministry, emphasized that those who say “Mothers shouldn’t be made to cry are causing mothers to cry.

"On the ‘Mother’s day’ he gave me handcrafts that he made by himself"

Ms. Hayat, says: “My son would respect me all the time. I have 3 children, Cafer was the one respecting me the most. He would ask me how I was every day. Because as family our economic situation is not good, he would prepare handcrafts by himself and give them to me as a present. Allah gave him very nice proper morality. He was an exemplary person amongst his friends. Everybody loved him.”

“I hope Allah will make them pay because they made mothers to cry”

Indicating that her son was martyred in a violent way and she couldn’t forget the brutality Ms. Hayat, says: “Today the reason that mothers are crying in the geography that we live in, is because of PKK’s brutality. I hope Allah will take the account of my son from them. I let my son to go to camp because I thought his teachers would look after him. But they didn’t look after him. My son was martyred by a knife. I hope Allah will punish them for doing that.”

“When I went to the holy birth activity that organized this year, my son was there as usual”

Evaluating her son’s picture to be hanged in the holy birth activity was organized this year Ms. Hayat, says: “During the holy birth activities my son Cafer and his friends would either be next to the platform or climb on a tree to see the activity better. When I went to the holy birth activity organized this year, my son was next to the platform again as usual. My son’s picture was hanged on the platform and he was looking at me. My son not to be forgotten in this activity made me happy. I hope Allah wills mercy those who arranged this.”

As 8th May is celebrated as mother’s day every year, many mothers are experiencing the joy of being remembered and visited. On the other hand some mothers are experiencing the sadness of their children to be aparted from them. (ILKHA)
