Gaza ceasefire to take effect Sunday morning
A ceasefire in the Gaza Strip is set to take effect on Sunday at 8:30 AM local time (6:30 AM GMT), according to Qatar's foreign ministry.

The announcement was made by ministry spokesperson Majed al-Ansari, who stated that the ceasefire was achieved through coordinated efforts among the involved parties and mediators. Al-Ansari urged Gaza residents to remain cautious and await official instructions.
The Israeli government has officially approved the mediated ceasefire agreement with the Palestinian Resistance, following initial approval from the smaller security cabinet. Reports indicate that 24 Israeli ministers voted in favor of the deal, while 8 opposed it.
This development marks a significant step in ending the Israeli aggression on Gaza, which has lasted for 470 days. The ceasefire agreement was reached after intense negotiations and is expected to be implemented in multiple phases. (ILKHA)
