The "Export Development Strategy with Islamic Countries," led by the Ministry of Trade, aims to raise Türkiye's export share to Islamic nations from 26% to 30% over the coming years.

As outlined in the Ministry's 2024 Corporate Financial Situation and Prospects Report, the strategy examines trade and economic data from 55 member states of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

The initial phase of the plan targets 21 key markets, including Azerbaijan, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Qatar, with a focus on sectors like agriculture and industry.

The plan aims to boost trade through enhanced promotional campaigns and initiatives to better integrate Türkiye into global value chains.

This effort is seen as a critical component of Ankara's broader foreign trade policy, which seeks to strengthen ties with Muslim-majority countries and support national economic growth. (ILKHA)
