The talks were held with Hadi Al Bahra, President of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC); Bader Jamous, President of the Syrian Negotiations Commission (SNC); and Abdurrahman Mustafa, head of the Syrian Interim Government (SIG).

During the meeting, Fidan reaffirmed Türkiye’s continued support for efforts aimed at fostering "substantial, realistic dialogue and negotiations" that could lead to a comprehensive political solution to the conflict. Türkiye emphasized that these efforts should be aligned with the framework of the United Nations Security Council Resolution 2254.

The Syrian civil war, which erupted in 2011, has led to widespread devastation and displacement across the region. Türkiye has consistently advocated for peace and dialogue in its neighboring country, positioning itself as a key player in the pursuit of a diplomatic resolution to the conflict.

This meeting underscores Türkiye’s ongoing commitment to facilitating negotiations and supporting the Syrian opposition in their quest for a political solution that would bring an end to more than a decade of civil war. (ILKHA)
