Addressing the audience, Erdoğan emphasized the unwavering commitment to ensuring that every rightful owner citizen finds their way back home.
“We will neither rest nor stop until our final rightful owner citizen moves into their home,” declared Erdoğan. “By joining forces with each other, we will overcome this challenge as well. Türkiye is rapidly healing the wounds of the disaster of the century by displaying the solidarity of the century.”
Erdoğan highlighted the tireless efforts to rebuild the earthquake-affected zone. The earthquake in Gaziantep resulted in the collapse of 4,126 buildings, but the authorities have made significant progress. “We have completely removed the debris of 6,114 buildings that either already collapsed or needed urgent demolition,” he stated. Additionally, the debris removal works for 11,554 out of 14,319 severely-damaged buildings have been successfully completed.
Today, 10,698 houses will be handed over to their rightful owners, marking a significant step in the recovery process. Furthermore, the construction of nearly 14,000 houses continues at a swift pace in Gaziantep.
