According to the statement, the ZOF reportedly stormed the hospital amidst intense gunfire and instructed the medical staff, displaced families, and patients to evacuate the premises.
Hamas labeled the Israeli raids on Al-Amal Hospital and the Red Crescent headquarters as "another war crime" and part of an ongoing campaign of extermination against the population in Gaza. The Movement accused the Israeli army of disregarding the international community, the United Nations, and recent resolutions, including one from the International Court of Justice urging Israel to halt its actions in Gaza, which Hamas referred to as genocide.
The statement called for international intervention to prevent what it termed as the "criminal Zionist entity" from persisting in what it described as horrific crimes and atrocities targeting children and defenseless civilians in Gaza.
