The organization expressed concern that the actual numbers might be higher due to undiscovered bodies and the ongoing Israeli attacks.

In a statement released on Tuesday, DCI-Palestine highlighted the unprecedented scale of child casualties during the Israeli campaign that commenced on October 7, 2023. The organization emphasized the dire living conditions faced by Palestinians, particularly in Gaza.

DCI-Palestine pointed out that children in the West Bank and Jerusalem fell victim to live ammunition from settlers and soldiers, as well as missiles launched by Israeli aircraft. The organization accused the Israeli army of deliberately targeting civilian and medical infrastructure, creating intolerable living conditions for the Palestinian citizens in Gaza.

The report also alleged that Israeli forces bombed major medical facilities in Gaza, exacerbating an already challenging healthcare situation. Furthermore, DCI claimed that the Israeli authorities obstructed the delivery of much-needed fuel to these medical facilities.

The international community is closely monitoring the situation as DCI calls for urgent attention to the humanitarian crisis unfolding in the Palestinian territories. (ILKHA)
