Hamza Dahdouh (29), son of veteran Al Jazeera journalist Wael Al-Dahdouh, was confirmed dead along with journalist Mustafa Thraya.

Two other journalists, Ahmed Al-Burash and Amer Abu Amr from Palestine Today TV, were injured in the strike.

Local sources reported that an israeli drone fired a missile at the vehicle carrying the journalists in the al-Mawasi area. The strike has once again highlighted the dangers faced by media personnel in conflict zones.

The Palestinian Journalists Syndicate has documented the toll on journalists, revealing that 102 journalists lost their lives, and 71 others were injured in zionist occupation forces' actions throughout the year 2023 alone.

Notably, Wael Al-Dahdouh, the father of Hamza Dahdouh, had previously suffered a devastating loss when his wife, son, and daughter were killed in an israeli airstrike on their home in the Nusseirat refugee camp in late October 2023.

The incident adds to the growing concerns over the impact of israeli aggression on civilians and journalists in Gaza. (ILKHA)
