During the sessions of the Grand National Assembly, members deliberated on the 2024 Central Government Budget Law Proposal and the 2022 Central Government Final Accounts Law Proposal. Ultimately, the 2024 central government budget received approval from the assembly.
The budget negotiations, initiated on December 11, concluded with the final day of discussions today.
Following the budget deliberations, the General Assembly of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey is scheduled to continue its legislative work for an additional two days before going on holiday.
On Tuesday, December 26, the General Assembly will resume discussions on the Law Proposal for the Amendment of Certain Laws and Decree Laws. This proposal includes provisions for a one-time payment of 5 thousand liras to working pensioners and introduces regulations related to the economy.
The General Assembly will address the remaining articles of the 86-article proposal, 43 of which were accepted before the commencement of the budget negotiations. (ILKHA)
