In a statement on Thursday, Hamas stressed that “no one can impose a mandate on the free people of Palestine.”
“We say clearly that the United States’ blatant attempts to impose a new fait accompli in the Gaza Strip that is tailored to suit them and the Zionist occupation are entirely unacceptable and will be strongly resisted by the Palestinian people,” Hamas stated.
“Any decision to rearrange the Palestinian situation is only made by the Palestinian people. They alone are capable of determining their fate, future and interests,” Hamas underlined.
“Such American statements and plans are just pipe dreams in their minds. Our great Palestinian people and their valiant resistance will prevail over this fascist occupation and will impose their will and seize their rights by force to establish their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital,” the Movement said.
Since last October 7, the Israeli occupation forces have been waging a US-backed war of annihilation on the besieged Gaza Strip that has claimed the lives of over 9,000 people and injured over 32,000 others, mostly women and children. (ILKHA)
